Update 28th February 2020

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

I reported that construction on site would begin in February half term. Unfortunately due to Storm Dennis and the associated weather conditions across the country, it was decided to start construction next week. As the construction firm were two weeks ahead of schedule they are back on track, but with more works carried out on the grounds than expected.

We are all eagerly anticipating the school to come out of the ground next week and you are of course able to see this if you look through the school gates at the site on Claypits Road.

I had a meeting with the Department for Education and the construction company on Wednesday and can confirm we are all on schedule for the building to be handed over to the school on 31st July well ahead of our September start.

It has been very encouraging to see a lot of enquiries for the school over recent months and we will be advertising shortly for our first early years teacher with Kate Fairbrother, Head Teacher, leading the recruitment process.

As spring is beginning to show signs of arriving, it will be all systems go as we prepare the school for the first group of children, our pioneers.
