Update 16th March 2020

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

The team did it! The contractors have been working long and hard over past few weeks including weekends. As I write this on Sunday 15th March, I have just received an email from the team saying they have placed the last part into the new building, so both floors are complete.

They will now focus on fitting out the inside over the next 4 months and begin to place the building into the landscape by attending to the grounds, car parks and roadways. Given they have had to combat two major storms, one of the wettest winters on record and the impact of the CV19 infection outbreak across the UK, their achievement to be finished on time is great. I have to say the local community have supported the delivery of so many vehicles to site by moving cars. I am indebted to them for their patience.

The IT systems will be fitted now and each room will be painted and finished including heating and extraction systems, which are already partly fitted. We have also had a very good level of interest in appointing our first teacher and will be holding interviews shortly. It really does feel that we will have a school to be proud of for years to come.

I hope you and your family are keeping well during the COVID19 outbreak. I hope by the time the school opens in September we will all be in a different world. Take care.

Best wishes,
