New Year Update

Happy New Year. I hope the Christmas break proved to be a relaxing time for you and your family.

2020 will prove to be a very exciting year for your child and for the staff of the new school at Roundswell Community Primary Academy. The building is ahead of schedule as we speak and the contractors will be handing over the building at the end of July 2020 with furniture, IT and all the equipment to run a school in place. I am delighted to announce that Kate Fairbrother, currently Head Teacher of Landkey Community Primary Academy, will be the new Head Teacher of Roundswell Community Primary Academy.

Kate is a very experienced Head Teacher running an oversubscribed school in North Devon and someone who has been a National Leader for Education, advising other schools. I know that Kate will bring her warmth, experience and love of the early years to ensure the school gets off to a really positive start as your child embarks on their first important steps.

As a Trust, Kate is one of our most experienced Head Teachers and I know she is very excited about the new appointment. Kate has visited the new school site on Claypitts Road and has seen at first hand the ground works taking place and the photos of the school being constructed in York prior to delivery onsite in February.

We are planning a whole host of events to ensure your child has a smooth start to life at RCPA such as parent and child induction events, home visits and of course a special day to open the school.
